The MaxTrac Black model CST1545-Pro
trackball comes with Superior-X Button Control software.
Superior-X Button Control is a Windows application that can remap
your mouse buttons, launch an application or choose from an extensive
list of functions which can also be made application specific. The
software allows remapping of up to 5 buttons.
The list of functions available to
map to is very comprehensive including things like: Volume Up/Down/Mute;
Media Player control; send a custom keystroke sequence; launch an
email application etc... There are over 40 predefined actions as
well as mouse speed control. In addition, you are able to specify
application specific mappings, which means one application can use
the mouse differently from another. This is especially useful for
games which do not inherently support the extended mouse buttons,
because you can map keys to each button.
The low profile of the MaxTrac acts
as a natural hand rest mirroring the natural contour of your hand.
Designed to easily accommodate both right and left-hand users, as
well as different size hands. You'll enjoy this trackball's ability
to dynamically accelerate across the screen as the ball is turned.
No need to move your arm or rotate your wrist from side to side.
The special Ambidextrous Trackball feature allows switching
from left to right-handed use without changing your system settings.
